Company in Southern Milwaukee County is seeking a Welder Supervisor for this 1st shift position. Duties include blueprints, guiding shop welders, paper work with invoices, employee evaluations, time cards etc. Setting up welding equipment for Flux core, medium and heavy plate steel and large assemblies job shop. Hands on supervision/leadman position.
Oversee and guide approx. 20 people on the shop floor.
$28-$36/hour
Seeking solid welding supervisor/manager must be good working with floor welders and fabricators. Job shop atmosphere. Scheduling work and supervising production employees, scheduling and operations, print specifications and completing quality checks.
Working with engineering and inspectors to determine best sequence of operations
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, and fabricators.
• Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
• Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
• Set up and adjust machines and equipment.
